Overview
Problem
People are unaware of the services they can take advantage of to prepare for an upcoming disaster OR they may be unaware that one is about to even happen. Once a disaster happens, survivors are processing the initial shock and loss of the incident, and are unsure where to begin looking for help. They are also having to prove their eligibility to multiple agencies, creating an undue burden on families to submit repetitive documentation and unequal eligibility across states.
Solution
Design a mobile app for FEMA that simplifies the government process and aids people through natural disasters by providing them with resources / planning materials and post-disaster financial assistance.
