Overview
Problem
State Approving Agencies and Education Liaison Representatives had been working with two very outdated systems to approve and add schools into the Digital GI Bill ecosystem. They were having to do a ton of manual data entry and duplicative work to add the school’s information to both systems because the schools were still using paper applications. There was also no formal communication or a way to track their workload - most of that was being done through email.
Solution
Create a system where the SAAs and ELRs could work together in harmony. Our priorities were to digitize the school’s applications to remove the need for manual data entry, provide an in-app tool to review the approval packages, automate notifications at every step of the process, and provide a wholistic view of the SAAs and ELRs workload with a dashboard.
